Supernova Friendship Block Swap
From my "better late than never" chronicles...
I finally finished my June block for the Supernova Friendship Block Swap, though I tried to assembly line a bit and made two months' worth, so June is late and July is early. My partner Emily from The Raven's Craft made the yellow block and I made light & dark peach. We still have a dark yellow, light & dark pink, and light & dark orange to go!

And from my "woohoo! something new!" files...
I've been curious ever since reading of their impending release a few months ago, and then the recent AMB Blog Tour where quilters from every state in the U.S. showed off a "license plate" made with the fabrics peaked my curiosity further, so when Erin of Sew at Home Mummy sent out the call for her AMB Great Brick Swap, I jumped at the chance to join in! This week I received my package with 50 pieces of fabric - one piece of each color in the AMB line. I'm surprised by how thin the fabric is after having only worked with Kona solids, but excited to create something with "local" fabrics. No idea what I'm going to make... any suggestions? Maybe some HSTs?

Those Supernova blocks with the black background really shine! Well done getting the jump on July's blocks, Sarah! Looking forward to your AMB WIP!

Thanks, Lorna! I'm glad I did two sets at once - it required some focus to get the charcoal triangles on the right corners of the prints, and focus is not something I have in large quantity at the moment : P

I'm excited to use the bricks, too! Are you making something for their Farm-to-Fabric Challenge?

I don't know, Daisy! My idea for the challenge would require a different set of sizes than the bricks, and my time is really scarce this summer... hoping I think of something interesting soon so they don't start gathering dust on the shelf : P
