Back in July when I had all the time in the world ahead of me, I committed to the Summer Trip Around the World QAL hosted by Meg from My Tea & Brie... well, summer has come and gone, and I need to get this quilt finished for Christmas! So I'm linking up with One Monthly Goal to finish it and get it wrapped and delivered. Since this was my first time making Trip Around the World blocks, I really appreciated the time-saving tips from Meg for strip piecing and then cutting the rows. (I even enjoyed the small seam ripping step that's involved because I used it as my signal to head outside to the sandbox with my toddler, and I seam ripped in the sunshine : ) Right now I have just one more set of strips to cut apart and piece into my last set of blocks, but all the rest are completed and pressed already. So here's my schedule:
P.S. Are you hurriedly sewing for holiday gifting? Leave me a comment and let me know what you're working on!
