If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my posts about the teacher gifts I'm working on this spring. I'm sewing two very simple HST throw quilts for two very wonderful instructors, and this morning I spent some time in my younger daughter's class having the kids sign their quilt labels. The good idea fairy thought a pieced block that mirrors the front design would be fun, and for antsy 6 year olds, distributing it as separate pieces meant not having to wait or crowd around to sign a single piece of fabric... this was good for the latter intent, but left me with a lot more piecing to do to finish the quilt back! Next week when I visit the older kids' class, I think they'll just have to sign one big fabric piece patiently ; ) P.S. Are you sewing any teacher gifts this year? Admittedly the throw quilts are a bit ambitious... I usually whip up an Open Wide Zipper Pouch if you're in need of a fast finish idea : )

Great idea, and I hope that the older kids have the bit more patience needed next week. :)
