This was a productive month for quick holiday makes at our house. The elves who visit each December were kind enough to kick off the Christmas sewing with new pj pants... I completed a few Open Wide Zippered Pouches for teachers (one of whom is a big fan of the local college team ; ) and then I made one for my cherry fabric loving mother to wrap her other fruit fabrics up in - I think it'll be a big hit on Christmas morning! The Love for a Neighbor quilt went off to its new home last week, and when we sit down to open gifts around the tree, my littlest should be excited to receive his new reversible pet bed that his big sisters made for him. They chose a stuffed animal for him that flips over from cat to dog, so of course they had to sew a flipable bed, too! If my Christmas Eve goes smoothly, I just might squeeze in one more project - a fairy wall hanging panel that my daughter wants to gift her sister, but that requires some time intensive quilting/outlining with sparkly thread. It might be a gift that comes "in need of assembly"... we'll see how Mrs. Santa does on her limited timetable! Next week I'll post my word for 2017 and quilting goals for the year ahead. I'm looking forward to linking up with Quilting Jet Girl's Planning Party. (And you should, too, if you're posting about your plans - hint: there are some awesome prizes for joining in!) I know I'm most excited to launch my new monthly newsletter - if you'd like to receive it, please join my email list and check your inbox the first week of January! In the meantime... Happy holidays to all!
I hope your gift sewing has been fun and succesful this year : ) ~ Sarah 12/24/2016 12:36:39
I hope that Mrs. Santa has good luck with the tension settings and metallic thread and has a very productive Christmas eve and very Merry Christmas! :) Comments are closed.
