Friday Finishes: "Muted" Rainbow Baby Quilt

One of my oldest and dearest friends just had her first child, and plans a "muted rainbow" theme for the little girl's room once their current renovation work is completed. Now, you probably know "muted" it not really my color palette, and I had nothing to go on since the room isn't set up yet, but when I saw a fellow Late Night Quilters Club member's similar quilt using these Flying Colors by Momo fabrics, I figured they read about as muted as I could envision and plowed ahead ; ) 

This was a quick project to stitch and quilt, and finally got me back at my longarm (after 18 months!). I even broke out my longarm rulers for the first time and used one to straight line quilt the top... admittedly my "straight" could use a lot more practice, but it was a good first project to practice the flow of sliding the ruler around and to brush up on burying threads. Up until now, I've only done all over designs that allowed me to end at a side, so this was a nice change of pace.
