As we were putting up our Christmas tree, I started sprinkling decorations around the house and realized we don't have any holiday wall hangings. There's one little (dark, very poorly lit - for the life of me I couldn't get the jewel tones to photograph well for the shot above) corner cabinet where I put our advent calendar, and it was just begging for a splash of color. So what did I [the woman with a half a dozen Christmas gift and swap projects that need to be finished asap] do? Yep. I made one ; ) I created mine on a small 12" x 18" snowy background, which means the templates are the perfect size to fit on placemats or throw pillows, or to triple the trees for a table runner... the design is super simple and would work well for any of those! Plus, it's an easy enough project to do with your kids - mine enjoyed helping me pick out some holiday brights from my stash. (And when Santa brings new sewing machines, I'll have just the project they can turn into grandparent gifts next December!) If you'd like some festive trees of your own, here's the pattern for you!
