Welcome back! Yesterday I shared a tutorial for my Daffodil Days Throw Pillow over at Fort Worth Fabric Studio, and today I'm showing you another easy project you can create from the block - a cheery spring table runner! Using the tutorial, simply piece three blocks instead of one. I skipped the borders and cornerstones that are on the throw pillow when I made my runner, but you could make it with them - whatever you prefer! Then quilt and bind. Voila! A big burst of sunny yellow to warm up your kitchen table. So would you believe that I got all the way through production, photographs and editing before I noticed that I switched a set of petals between the left and center flowers?! I seriously didn't see it till I started writing up the post - doh! I think I'll chalk it up to a happy accident and live with it : P
If you'd like to try your hand at one of my Daffodil Days projects,
be sure to hop over to the tutorial for both the directions and the downloadable template used to create the block. Happy spring sewing!

Great tut. Both project are looking great and I'm not even fan of yellow, lol. I'm adding this to my TO DO list, thanks for sharing. 4/23/2014 08:26:16
Now this is just what we need after such a drab winter! Sunny and fresh! Love the design, Sarah. And your tutorial is sew easy to follow. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on a thorough and clear tutorial! I especially love this as a table runner (I'm more likely to make one of those than pillows for my house). The scrappiness is perfect and I love how you mixed colors. 4/25/2014 10:03:35
Saw your tutorial on FW fabric studio the other day, and loved it, but the table runner is over the top. TOO CUTE!! Thanks for the inspiration and fabulous tutorial! 4/25/2014 10:30:16
It's super cute and just perfect for springtime, chasing away the gray days!

This tablerunner is very pretty! It reminds me exactly of daffodils. Perfect for spring! Comments are closed.
