Before I started drafting this post, I reread my 2014 Pantone Quilt Challenge entry and after a quick skim, realized I seem to have a theme for these - start with plan A, switch gears underway, submit a pillow ; )
My daughters had some pretty amazing teachers this year, and that meant some pretty amazing thank you gifts were in order. Today I'm sharing "Blue Owls," which was made for my older daughter's teacher who adores owls and had a woodland theme to her class this year. (Want to see the second quilt? Click here!)
I started writing my newsletter because I so enjoy the ones I receive from others in the sewing and crafting world, and because it's an opportunity for me to talk to all of you each month even when my blog might be a little lacking in big fancy finishes (this mom thing really devours my free time! ; )
Has the spring cleaning bug bitten you yet? It comes like clock work for me every April. This year's decluttering impulse was strong as I pare down before the next deployment (less clutter means less to clean up after by myself!) and clear space in my studio for the new direction my business is headed in. And since I have sooo much more fabric than time, I'm giving away TWO great FQ bundles in prints perfect for summer sewing. Enter below to win 30's Minis by Erin Turner, and then check out BBD on Instagram for a chance at Summer Song 2 by Riley Blake. Best of luck! |
