![]() So... how was your first week of the 4x7 Sewing Challenge??! When I tackle new habits and commitments, I always find the first week the easiest because I'm excited and motivated and have the best of intentions, so this week was fun for me and I managed to get my thirty minutes of "selfish sewing" in every single day. But next week might very well be a different story ; ) I made practicing on my new-ish longarm my goal for the entire month, and I hope to have a sampler book of designs to refer back to when I'm finished. This week I completed about fifteen blocks for the book and I started a cute Valentine's Day project. What did you create with your "me time?" Link up below and show us! You'll be automatically entered into this week's participation prize drawing for a charm pack of Riley Blake's Cottage Garden and some Alphabitties! I'll announce the winner next Saturday when we have our next link up. ~ Sarah 2/7/2015 00:13:15
I love that you are taking the time to really use that longarm and make the book for yourself. My mother had a handiquilter that I believe was the first model invented and I spent 2 years fighting with it to the point that I almost threw it all away one day. It always seemed like there had to be an easier way to make it work and I think the many upgrades since then have made it easier. She finally sold it so now I just have my regular machine to pretend that I can quilt.
