This latest finished flimsy of mine is all about the voile - Heather Ross' new Sleeping Porch voile that is! Her prints are busy, but I like the overall aesthetic. The whirl of flora and fauna reminds me of running through a field of wildflowers. All those warm yellows, peaches, and greens evoke hazy days, dusty yarrows and the buzz of cicadas. Plus, the moths - that purple print is my absolute favorite!
My forgotten fall pre-order of Heather Ross' Sleeping Porch arrived this week... right along with the stack I *just* purchased last weekend! (Will mom-brain ever end??) But the beauty of this bonanza of fabric is that I now have one set to hoard AND one to play with. So I've been cutting and fiddling with layouts, and hopefully I'll have a pattern to share soon along with the finished flimsy. (Plus, there's a good chance some scraps will make an appearance in this month's Tuesday Treats giveaway! Check out IG or my newsletter for details. Wait, not a newsletter subscriber yet??
